Roberta Sprinkle 1947-2009

GREENVILLE, Pa. - Roberta ''Bobbie'' Sprinkle, 62, Greenville, Pa., passed away at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the UPMC Horizon Health System, following an extended illness.

Roberta was born Sept. 24, 1947, in Warren, to her parents Darrell Elston and Joyce Pohlmann Elston.

Roberta graduated from Lakeview High School in Cortland in 1964 and married her husband Daniel Sprinkle Dec. 15, 1966. Mr. Sprinkle preceded her in death in 1987.

Mrs. Sprinkle and her husband were self-employed dairy farmers at the High View Farm in West Salem Township, Pa. Mrs. Sprinkle was employed for 15 years at Charlanne Farms in Cortland. Roberta also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping and working in her garden. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Mrs. Sprinkle is survived by three children, Kristine Scott of Transfer, Pa., Terri Pocza and her husband, Ben, of Greenville, Pa., Kevin Sprinkle and his wife, Lorie, of Fredonia, Pa.; four granddaughters; two nieces; two nephews; and a sister, Leslie Bebech and her husband, Bill, of Cortland.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Rock Ridge Cemetery, State Line Road, Greenville, Pa., with the Rev. James Murrin of Crossroads Christian Church officiating.
