NILES - Nora Adaway Chubb, 96, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Shepherd of the Valley.

She was born Nov. 2, 1913, in Leeds, Ala., a daughter of John William Sr. and Mary Ellen Isbell Adaway.

She worked for Trumbull County Domestic Relations Court and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Girard.

Nora leaves sons, William Allen Chubb of Lenoir, N.C., and James Chandler Chubb of Cortland; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Elizabeth Adaway of Cortland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil S. Chubb, two brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be held 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Blackstone Funeral Home.
