BURGHILL - Lois E. Seidle, 80, of Burghill passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 5, 2009, at Sharon Regional Health Center.
She was born October 30, 1929, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of William T. Sr. and May Boyer Evans.
She was a homemaker, only working a short time as a nurse's aide at McCleads Nursing Home in Vernon.
Lois was a lifetime member of the Hartford United Methodist Church with an everlasting love and commitment to playing the organ and piano every Sunday. She had played the piano and organ at the Sharon Free Methodist Church for a time.
She enjoyed dining out, campfires and baking, especially pies. She loved family gatherings and just spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by each and every one of them.
She is survived by her husband, David J., whom she married July 15, 1948, in Bennettsville, S.C.; two daughters, Linda Griffiths and husband, Don of Burghill and Diane Garringer and husband, Ken, of Fowler; one son, Richard and wife Christine of Burghill; six grandchildren, Barb Fiest and husband Frank, Carol Thornton and husband Charlie, Heather Garringer and Kevin, Jenny and Kelly Seidle; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Fiest, Shannon Holzapfel, Emily Thornton and Harley Austin; one step-great-grandchild, Samantha Griffith and a brother, Edward ''Ted'' Evans and wife, Esther, of Brookfield.
Lois was preceded in death by a brother who passed away in 1998, William Evans Jr.
Friends and relatives may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, 3451 state Route 7, Hartford and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Hartford United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
