WARREN - Valerie T. Martinez, 29, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Valerie was born June 20, 1980, in Scottsdale, Ariz., a daughter of Richard Penunuri and Theresa Pasternak.
Valerie was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
She enjoyed being a mother and taking care of her two children, Yovani and Yesenia.
Valerie leaves a son, Yovani Martinez of Warren; a daughter, Yesenia Martinez of Cortland; her mother, Theresa A. Pasternak of Huntington Beach, Calif.; her maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Pasternak of Warren, with whom she made her home; an aunt, Mary C. (Don) Johnson of Warren; a cousin, Erica M. Poff of Falls Church, Va.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Richard Penunuri.
Calling hours will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.
