NORTH JACKSON - Glenn A. Mentzer, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at his home .

He was born March 31, 1923, in Carlisle, Pa., a son of Herman and Cora Barrick Mentzer.

Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a mechanic for the federal government and a member of Pricetown United Methodist Church.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary Dunkleberger Mentzer; three children, Gene of Crooksville, Carol Mentzer of Youngstown and Dennis of North Jackson; two brothers, Lee of Camp Hill, Pa., and Donald of Middlesex, Pa.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Glenn was preceded in death by a son, Timothy, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
