WARREN - Robert C. Beathe Jr., 62, of Warren, died at 4:14 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

He was born Jan. 28, 1947, in Richwood, W.Va., the son of the late Robert C. and Alberta Daniels Beathe Sr.

He attended Windham High School and was retired after 30-plus years from General Motors Corp. Fabrication Plant in Lordstown.

He was an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran.

Bob was an avid Ohio State football Fan. He was very active with the Fab Plant union at GM in Lordstown, and in Toys For Tots.

Survivors include his only daughter, Nicole (David) Mooney of Warren, and only grandson, Noah Mooney; and his sister, Janet (Lawrence) Hafner of Cortland.

Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Linda "Kay" Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Nicholas Furrie officiating. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Windham Township Cemetery.
