MESOPOTAMIA - Esther Byler, 48, died peacefully early Sunday morning, Oct. 11, 2009, at her home in Mesopotamia after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 24, 1960, a daughter of Eli D. and Martha Byler Miller.
She was married to John J. Byler, son of Jake and Lizzie Ann (Yoder) Byler, on Dec. 6, 1979. To this union was born one son, Michael John.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, John J. Byler; son Michael John married to Sarah Rolan; one grandson Isaiah; her father and mother; sisters Barbara Ann (Jonas) Miller of North Bloomfield, Marie (David) Miller of Chardon; brother Joseph of Mesopotamia and six nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ervin and Emma Byler and paternal grandparents, David and Sarah Miller.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pilgrim Mennonite church, Old State Road, Middlefield.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mapleview Mennonite Church on Burton-Windsor Road, Burton.
Interment will be at Pilgrim Mennonite Cemetery.
