FOWLER - Betty L. Fredenburg, 72, of Fowler, passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 10, 2009, at her home.
Born Aug. 5, 1937, in Howland, Betty was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Margaret Evans Hunter Parsons.
A lifetime area resident, Betty retired in 2002 from Phoenix Tool Co. in Warren, where she worked as the company treasurer for many years.
Betty was a member of the Second Christian Church and was also a member of the Women of the Moose Auxiliary in Greenville, Pa.
She enjoyed camping, traveling (she and her husband had traveled to all 50 states) and rescuing stray animals. She loved reading and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan R. Fredenburg, whom she married April 7, 1956. Together they shared 53 years of marriage and three children, Sherry K. (Dick) Bobrowicz of Kent, Gary C. (Janene) Fredenburg of Avon Lake and Eric H. (Diane) Fredenburg of Vienna; nine grandchildren, Christian and Carla Bobrowicz, Loni S. and Erinn Fredenburg, Travis Smith and Ilsa, Berend, Gerrit and Cora Fredenburg; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Bobrowicz; and two sisters, Frances Jean Morgan of Lordstown and Georgia Parsons of Warren.
According to Betty's wishes, there will be no calling hours and cremation will take place.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League at 545 Brunstetter Road S.W. Warren, Ohio 44481.
The family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren.
