WARREN - A man charged earlier this year in the shooting death of Ahmaze King is in jail on accusations of shooting and injuring King's brother last week.
Taemarr Walker, 19, of Warren, faces a charge of felonious assault in the Aug. 23 shooting near his mother's home on Jackson Street S.W.
He was arrested this week after being caught pumping gas into a stolen car with a stolen, loaded gun inside, police said.
Walker previously was charged with having a weapon under disability after Ahmaze King, 26, was killed after a confrontation between the two in January at a Lancer Court apartment. Two guns were recovered, one near his body and the other on a path between the complex and Deer Run town homes on nearby Commerce Street, where a wounded Walker had been pounding on doors saying he'd been shot.
On Aug. 23, police were called to Jackson Avenue S.W. after Sean King, 21, 790 Fourth St. S.W., was shot in the arm. He said he'd been driving at the time and was shot by someone who was in the 2535 Jackson St. S.W. home of Katherine Eggleston, Walker's mother.
Eggleston told police that about the same time, people she knew opened fire on her home from two cars. She reported the next day another vehicle fired multiple times at her house.
Jeff Cole, public information officer, said the felonious assault charge was filed Friday after Sean King told police Taemarr Walker had shot him and pointed him out in a photo line-up.
Walker was arrested Aug. 30. According to police reports, he was pumping gas at BP, 1290 E. Market St., into a car that had been reported stolen. When he was being placed in the cruiser, he spit a bag of marijuana out of his mouth, police said.
A .22 LR Mountain Eagle pistol loaded with 16 rounds reported stolen through Warren Police Department in 2005 was found in the stolen car, police reports state.
Walker also was charged with weapons under disability for a prior conviction, two charges of receiving stolen property and one charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Walker is in Trumbull County Jail on $150,000 bond.
Two Warren men also have been arrested in the shootings on Eggleston's home.
Jamar Hill is in jail on $250,000 bond on two charges each of discharging into a habitation and weapons under disability in both shootings on Eggleston's home. Randall Morgan also has been arrested on complicity, discharge into habitation and weapons under disability in one of the shootings, and has yet to be arraigned.
Police still are looking for William Crenshaw on charges of complicity, discharge into habitation and weapons under disability.
