BRISTOLVILLE - James R. Shriver, 74, of Bristolville, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

He was born May 26, 1935, in Orange, the son of John and Myrtle Shriver.

Mr. Shriver served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a foot doctor's technician, and most recently in the gas booth at Orwell Golden Dawn.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Deck Shriver; two daughters, Devon Shriver of Cleveland and Brittany Shriver of Bristolville; a son, Michael of Bristolville; two sisters and a brother. Preceding him in death are three brothers.

Services are private. Cremation is taking place.

Arrangements are entrusted to McFarland & Son Funeral Services Co., Warren.
