Ronald Mansfield 1944-2009

BRISTOLVILLE - Ronald C. Mansfield, 65, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Warren, the son of Genevieve Coons and the late Charles Mansfield.

Ronald was employed at Mahan Packing. He was a veteran of Vietnam having served in the Army. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Bristolville.

Surviving are his mother, Genevieve Mansfield of Bristolville; son, Colin Kelly (Sarah) Mansfield of Warren; daughter, Anita Lynch of Bristolville; step-daughter, Kim (Sid) Gwinn of North Bloomfield; brothers Gary, Ted, Max, Mark and Jace Mansfield; sisters, Londa Isaacs, Colleen Patchin, Connie Kellar, Amy Huggins, and Patti Mansfield; grandchildren, Kelsey, Luke, Jacob, Lacey, Sindey; and great-grandchild, Layla; and his special friend Barb Fairchild.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Tom and Rocky Mansfield; sisters, Mary Burns and Ellen Mansfield; and granddaughter, Olivia Mansfield.

Services will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, where the Rev. Fred Keener will officiate. Friends may call 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.

Interment will be in Sager Memorial Cemetery.

The family requests that material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
