WARREN - Organizers of the Music Is Art Festival now are confirming that musician Dave Grohl is planning to attend the dedication ceremony for Dave Grohl Alley Saturday afternoon.
Warren Police Sgt. Joseph O'Grady, who came up with the idea of naming an alley after the frontman for the Foo Fighters and drummer for Nirvana, said he talked with Grohl's father, Jim Grohl, Thursday afternoon and received a list of instructions for what Grohl would like to have at the event.
The list of requested items includes an acoustic guitar and two drum kits that can be used to face off in a drumming duel.
The dedication ceremony is scheduled to start about 4 p.m. Saturday, and the event is the culmination of the week-long festival.
