Paul J. Cannon 1936-2009

KINSMAN - Paul Joseph Cannon, 72, died at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Hospice House in Poland.

He was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Warren, the son of the late Frank B. and Alice Kagey Cannon. He was a lifetime Trumbull County resident, living in Warren, Champion and Kinsman.

Paul was retired from the City of Warren Street Department after 32 years of service, where he was a foreman with the storm crew. He was of the Catholic faith. Paul enjoyed horseback riding, raising peacocks, playing cards, reading and especially eating out. He was a member of the Trumbull County Chapter of the Ohio Horsemans Council.

Paul is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debby L. Huber Cannon, whom he married Jan. 1, 1978; five children from his first marriage include four sons, Paul Jr. "Butch" of Arizona, Kim D. of California, Donald J. of Oregon and Flint L. of Cortland; one daughter, Connie K. of Warren; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Fawn, and a brother Sonny.

Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Cremation will be held, and there will be no services. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
