2:46 p.m.: Cobalt sales drop

Lordstown-built vehicles -- the Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G-5 -- experienced sales declines in June compared to the same period in 2008.
Cobalt experienced a 67.2 percent decline and the Pontiac G-5 experienced a 34.9 percent decline.
In June 2008, there were 20,888 Cobalts sold compared to 6,847 Cobalts sold last month. There were 1,671 G-5s sold last month compared to 2,566 sold in June 2008.

You are full of it 495...you think somebody in LA didn't buy a Colbalt because of how GM treated the union ? GM is trying to stay OPEN by making money , not fork it over to you so they are forced to make cheap ****** cars like the Cobalt -- ****** cars don't sell in the Valley or anywhere in the USA

Well with the economy the way it is, and GM-Delphi screwing over their salary retirees, what did you expect. With the Bankruptcy filing by Delphi almost 4 years ago, and screwing their salary retirees out of benefits, its only going to get worse, not better. All that negativity how GM treated people who dedicated their working years, is going to have a big impact on GM sales. An not just here in the valley, but across the country with how they treated their dealerships.
