Joyce A. Mark 1939-2009

WARREN - Joyce Ann Boyles Mark, 70, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home with the help of her daughter, Cindy, her granddaughter, Carolyn, and Celtic Hospice at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009.

She was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Warren, a daughter of Paul Peter and Lydia Catherine Harvey Danko.

Joyce was a 1957 graduate of Champion High School and formerly worked at Kennametal in Middlefield, Gillette Nursing Home, and did home health care.

She was a member of the Champion Church of the Nazarene, where she worked in the nursery.

She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Survivors include her children, David (Sharon) Boyles Sr. of Girard, Kathy (Ron) Borowski of Ravenna, Cindy (Jeffrey) Hockenberry, with whom she lived, Shari (Dave) Knowlton of Newton Falls and her stepdaughter, Joyce (Ronald) Nitzsky of Niles; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edwin (Cecilia) Danko of Mansfield, Ark., and Walter (Kathy) Danko of Champion.

Joyce was preceded in death by her second husband, Frank Mark, on Aug. 25, 1975 - they were married April 5, 1974 - and a brother, Bob Danko.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Champion Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Connie E. Ballentine will officiate.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren. Family and friends may also visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
