NILES - A gunman who wore a wig and a woman's floral sundress robbed employees at a cash advance business Friday.

Friday night, police still were searching for the man who entered the Youngstown Warren Road Advance America about 1 p.m. The gunman entered the store and pulled a black pistol on the employees, police said. He took the cash from one register and fled outside.

The thin, light-skinned black man dropped most of the cash in the parking lot, said police, who did not know in which direction he headed. The store is located in Mallview Plaza.

There were no customers in the store at the time, said police, and no one was hurt. Advance America employees would not comment Friday and referred all questions to the store's corporate headquarters.

Anyone with information should contact 330-652-9944.

Payday lending opponents' "cycle of debt" claim is not valid. CFSA's Best Practices indicate that any customer who cannot pay back a loan when it's due has the option of entering an extended payment plan. This option allows them to repay the loan over a period of additional weeks at no additional cost.

bigten, you beat me to it!

These places pray on those in a tough spot & needing cash by charging them outragious intrest rates. Definetly not good to steal from anyone, but seeing this doesn't exactly break my heart.

criminals have and will, always be there...The times do not change that fact, for better or worse.. Any stats on crime rates from 2007 compared to today? Increases have not happened, even with fewer jobs and less PD service.

Another product of Obama's policies. Fewer jobs equals more crime. Get used to it, it's gonna get worse.

How do they know it was a man?..There be some very large, ugly looking woman, with hairy lips in the Niles area..Did the sun dress blow up for identification purposes? This is what you really call an advance...I hope the interest is 20-life.

It's only a matter of time before every business in the area is robbed by these thugs who don't want to work. Another example of why people don't want to come to the Niles/Warren area to eat and shop.
