STATESBORO, Ga. - Ada Marie Coccaville, 84 of Statesboro, Ga., formerly of Champion, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2009, after a short illness.
She moved to Statesboro from Champion in February 2007.
Ada was born in Chauncey, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1924, the daughter of Edward Franklin and Minnie May Darrington Shingler. Ada was a homemaker that enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She married Howard J. Coccaville on April 11, 1999, and recently they celebrated 10 years of marriage together.
Ada is survived by her husband, Howard of Statesboro; daughters, Sue and James Angle of Brunswick, Ga., Jacalyn and Donald Allman of Newton Falls and Connie and Anselmo Martinez of Clermont, Fla.; sisters, Minnie Bell Dever of Memphis, Tenn., and Mary and John Yarger of Akron; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, AnnMarie Whiteaker and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at 10 a.m. at James Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery.
