Edward Guy Pompili 1930-2009

HUBBARD - Edward Guy Pompili, 78, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at home.

Edward was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Hubbard, the son of Eugene and Raphael Scarpine Pompili.

He had been a millwright at GATX Masury and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He will be survived by his wife, Ann M. Pontino Pompili; his son, Edward A.; two daughters, Regina Gatti; Lisha Baumiller all of Hubbard; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene of Hubbard, Vince of Canfield and Paul of Cortland; and a sister, Lucille Hardin of Plumbers Landing, Ky.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

There will be calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday St. Patrick Catholic Church and prayers at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church Hubbard.

Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
