NELSON TOWNSHIP - Dianna June Hembree, 64, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born Oct. 14, 1944, in Grantown, W.Va., the daughter of the late John W. Boyce and the late Luanna J. Hawkins.
Dianna worked as a nursing assistant at several nursing homes and then worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 12 years, having retired in 1995. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping and gardening; She will best be remembered as a very giving person who loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Dianna is survived by her husband, Henry Hembree, whom she married Jan. 26, 1963; son, Henry F. Hembree Jr. of Nelson Township; daughters, Leona J. Hembree of Nelson Township and Melissa A. Riley of Windham; brother, John A. Boyce of Warren; sister, Judith (Robert) A. Baugher of Southington; grandchildren, Desiree and Danielle Noll, Derek and Jeremy Hembree, Chad and Benjamin Riley; great-grandchildren, Miley and Christopher White and Matthew Early; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one great-grandson, Marcus Early.
A memorial service will be held for Dianna at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
