GIRARD - Girard picked up its first victory of the season thanks to a Mat Pagano jump shot with 35 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter on Jan. 3, 38-37.
The Braves had an two opportunities to respond, but missed both shots.
Pagano was the second half leader for the Indians as he scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half.
Joe Augustine led all scorers with 14 points to help the Indians to the victory.
Marcus Heath paced the Braves (2-5) with 12 points, including both of the teams 3s.
n NILES 58, GIRARD 46: NILES - Four players scored in double figures to help the Red Dragons overcome seven 3-pointers by the visiting Indians on Jan. 6.
Joe Moss led Niles with 15 points, Ryan Frantz had 13, Saul Vaughn scored 12 and David Allen finished with 11.
Joe Augustine led all scorers with 20 points, but the Indians had no one else reach double figures.
n BROOKFIELD 46, GIRARD 40: BROOKFIELD - Brookfield didn't make a single field goal in the fourth quarter but still held off Girard thanks to sharp free-throw shooting by the Warriors on Jan. 23.
Brookfield (3-8, 1-1 All-American Conference) led 35-32 entering the fourth and made 11-of-16 free throws in the quarter, including leading-scorer Anthony Uberti going 6-of-8. Greg Hunkus secured the victory for the Warriors with the final two makes. Uberti scored 18 to lead Brookfield.
Girard (1-11). Joe Augustine scored all eight of Girard's points in the fourth quarter. He scored a team-high 17 points in the loss.
