BOARDMAN - John ''Jack'' LaPresta, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009.
John was born April 24, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of Samuel and Daisy Bell LaPresta.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for GATX in Masury.
He was a member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Youngstown.
He leaves his wife, Xiaobo Huang LaPresta; daughters, Debbie White of Struthers and Mae LaPresta at home; sons, John LaPresta of Hubbard, Samuel LaPresta of Florida and Luke LaPresta of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, JoAnn King and Gigi Giannini, both of Austintown, and Theresa DeToro of Poland.
Celebration of life service will be held at noon Friday at Highway Tabernacle Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home and 11 to 11:50 a.m. Friday at the church. He will be buried at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.
