FAIRLAWN - Bradley J. Burlingham, 52, of Fairlawn, beloved son of Frank and Lois Burlingham of Fort Myers, Fla., loving brother of Don (Cindy), Bill, Becki, and uncle of Megan, Curt, Clark, (great nephew), Laura, Eva, Tyler and Ethan, died Sept. 5, 2008, in a tragic accident in Nigeria while serving with Doctors Without Borders.
He is also survived by his best friend, Nancy, and former wife, Debbie, as well as numerous friends whose lives he touched. Brad was born Aug. 27, 1956, and grew up in Niles.
He graduated in 1974 from Niles McKinley High School. He attended Youngstown State University with degrees in Nursing (1984), as well as History and Anthropology (1979). He also graduated from the St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center School for Nurse Anesthetists (1990).

Brad recently left Akron General Medical Center, where he was a nurse anesthetist since 1995, to serve with Doctors Without Borders in Nigeria. He loved the outdoors, music and was an avid bicyclist and traveler.
A memorial service and celebration of Brad's life will be held at Cuyahoga Valley Church, 5055 East Wallings Road in Broadview Heights at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19. www.CuyahogaValleyChurch.com 440-746-0404.
