1 p.m.: Man arraigned in bar shooting death
Tribune ChronicleYOUNGSTOWN - A man wanted for a homicide early Saturday morning at a Poland Avenue bar surrendered to police Monday evening.
Jason Delgado, 25, of East Pasadena, is in the Mahoning County Jail on $1.3 million bond after his arraignment in Municipal Court Tuesday on a charge of aggravated murder and three counts of felonious assault for the shooting at El Tropical, 1666 Poland Ave., about 1:50 a.m. Saturday.
Delgado was taken into custody about 9 p.m. Monday at the office of his lawyer, Thomas Zena, who represented him at the arraignment Tuesday.
Chief of Detectives Capt. Kenneth Centorame said police are looking at possibly charging other people for the shooting. Detectives were interviewing more witnesses Tuesday morning.
"We're still trying to sort through this," Centorame said. "We're looking at a few different angles and perspectives."
Delgado does not understand English. Attorney Miriam Ocasio translated during the hearing, which was conducted via video hookup from the jail.
Ricardo P. Moctezuma, 25, 1154 Burlington Ave., was killed following what witnesses described as an argument inside the bar.

If he doesn't understand english, what was he doing hanging in a bar where everyone was presumably speaking english, and how would a fight errupt and turn into a shooting if he couldn't understand what was going on? Sounds fishy.
