CORTLAND - Grace E. Hutchins, 58, Cortland, died of cancer at her home surrounded by her family at 5:23 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008.

She was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of Elizabeth Palmer Hutchins, with whom she made her home, and the late Elmer R. Hutchins, who preceded her in death in December 2000.

Grace was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and was employed as a unit secretary in the obstetrics department at St. Joseph Health Center for 40 years.

Miss Hutchins also attended Champion Christian Church.

Loving memories will be cherished by her mother; her brother, Charles (Debra) Hutchins of Champion; two sisters, Phyllis (Ronald) Kuszmaul of Delaware, Ohio, and Naomi Clement of Cortland; two nieces, Wendy (Christopher) Greasamar of Delaware, Ohio, and Rachel Clement of Cortland; three nephews, Randy Kuszmaul of Columbus, Ben Clement of Cortland and Kris Hutchins of Champion.

Grace enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews to whom she devoted much of her life.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Champion Christian Church, where family and friends may visit from 3 to 4 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth E. Hopkins Jr. will officiate the service. Also, family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will take place privately at Meadow Brook Memorial Park.
