Mary Roscoe

NILES - Mary Roscoe, 89, Niles, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, following a brief illness.

Mary was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Cokeburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Vojtovich Darno.

Mary was a 1937 graduate of Ambridge High School. She worked at Ohio Lamp for 10 years in the 1940s.

Mary was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

Mary's husband, Joseph Roscoe, whom she married July 19, 1941, passed away Feb. 6, 1970.

Mary leaves her daughter, Marilyn (Larry) Rambo of Vienna; son, Joseph Roscoe of Niles; siblings, Andrew Darno of Ambridge, Pa., John Darno of Warren, Joe Darno of Baden, Pa., Ann Darno of Ambridge, Pa., and George Darno of Ambridge, Pa.; two grandchildren, Courtney (Matthew) Hummel of Clarion, Pa., and Christopher Rambo of Vienna.

Father Robert Karl will officiate a funeral Mass noon Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, where the family will be receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will be at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that material contributions be made in Mary's memory to the church, 180 Belvedere Ave. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
