John M. Berish, 1932-2008

WARREN — John M. Berish, 76, entered into eternal life at 12:52 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Trumbull Memorial Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

John was born March 18, 1932, in Aultman, Pa., the loving son of the late John P. and Mary Setlock Berish. He was a resident of Warren since 1955, coming here from Indiana, Pa., where he attended Indiana High School.

He was employed as a millwright with Copperweld Steel Corp. for 35 years, retiring from his duties in 1994.

John attended SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, and had enjoyed watching television and feeding birds, and playing the lottery. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Oct. 19, 1957, John entered into marriage with Helen R. Hudock Berish, and they spent 50 years together.

Memories of John will be remembered and cherished by his loving family, wife, Helen R. Berish; a daughter, Rosalie Ann (Randolph) Wheat of Boardman; a sister, Mary Catherine Grove of Indiana, Pa.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held Monday at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will follow at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will officiate.
