He was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Adah, Pa., a son of the late Andy and Mary Andlier Trocheck. He was a longtime resident of Warren.
He was a Greyhound Bus driver in Pennsylvania, retiring after 40 years. He previously worked at Republic Steel. Michael was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. Michael enjoyed his morning coffee with his longtime friend Charlie. He also enjoyed dining out and spending time with his family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Michael’s wife, Angeline R. ‘‘Angie’’ Russomanno Vadas, whom he married May 31, 1980, died July 5, 1993.
He is survived by stepdaughters, Helen (Richard) Batzdorf of Warren, who was a caregiver, Jean (Blair) Cook of Leavittsburg, and Frances (Roy) Walls of Warren, who was a caregiver; sister, Elizabeth Check of Hubbard; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Angie; his first wife, Helen; a son, Michael; stepson, Joseph Vadas Jr.; brothers, John and Andrew; and sisters, Ann and Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church, with celebrant the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried, preceded by a 12:30 p.m. service at the funeral home. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel. Burial with military honors will be at All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund, 301 High St. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
