Richard H. Meehan 1934-2008

WARREN — Richard H. “Dick” Meehan, 73, of Warren, died at 8:46 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, of a massive heart attack at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1934, in Mansfield, a son of Edward H. and Dollie Walton Meehan.

He was a crane operator at WCI Steel, retiring after 45 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his dogs, Mya and Zoey.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Redmond Meehan, whom he married March 18, 1955. He is also survived by daughters Cindy Wall and LeAnn Petro, both of Howland, and Sandy DeCamp, Karen (Tom) Elder and Carol (Mike) Hamilton, all of Warren; grandchildren Monica (Chris) Johnson, Brent and Reide DeCamp, Carly Meehan and Eric Wall; and great-grandchildren Dina Marie, Carissa, Camryn, twins Morgan and Mea, and Mason. He will be greatly missed by his entire family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Edward, Francis and Robert Meehan; and sisters Loretta Natoli and Marge Ostrander.

Services will be noon Monday at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Rick L. Oaks officiating. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one-half hour prior to services Monday. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park.
