keep up the good fight stew7274. there are cracks appearing in the liberal/communist control of the motion picture/music/education system that the liberals have quietly taken control of since the 1970's. we are going win this. the blacks are beginning to see that the liberals are paying them to stay in the ghetto.
LilPookie, Alan Keyes and Herman Cain might not have been the final candidate for POTUS, but both of them ran for the GOP nomination. Cain actually did quite well until the DNC came up with some women who they paraded in front of the cameras claiming that Cain had sexually harrassed them. All of whom mysteriously disappeared after Cain dropped out of the race.

NomoreCrap, I don't think that there are any whites alive today who partook in slavery. Just as I don't think that there are any blacks alive today who were slaves. So, why would whites want to downplay the brutality of slavery other than the fear that the movie makers are trying to inflame blacks to hate whites with the presentation of the movies?
You even disagreed that it was from WallBuilders. lol I assure you thats where I copied it from.

Tell Alan West how racist Conservatives are. lol. Or how about Blackwell that ran for governor of Ohio against Strictland. I voted for Blackwell, did you?
I also told you where it's from. WallBuilders. David Barton holds the largest collection of original Founding Documents in the world. He can back up what he says with the actual paper or letter or whatever. Yes I copied and pasted it from there. The only ones trying to keep you a slave are the progressives, and it won't just be black people, it will be all of us this time.
Heres some more truth for you. Ok, lets go with the 64 Civil Rights Act. That recent enough for you? Higher percentage of Republicans voted for it than democrats. Byrd, kkk member and progressive democrat, had second longest filibuster in history trying to stop it.
Pathetic. Don't believe facts and history. Listen to progressive/communist propaganda. Fact is black unemployment is way higher under hussein, who is half white. I get facts from credible sources. You show your ignorance with every post. Fact is democrats help those rich elitists you hate, so do some of the Republicans. The Tea party has been trying to return the Republican party to it's roots. Suffering attacks from the democrat/progressive/communists and Republicans the whole way. You support the same ideology of the old slave masters. We are fighting against it, wake up and join the fight.

Please leftists, dispute these facts. I have personally had to call Ron Verb and Morris from WKBN and set them both straight about the 3/5ths clause. They just listen to idiots like gore spew propaganda and believe every word. Regurgitating propaganda almost perfectly word for word, and many people believe their lies, sad.
This ain't the same republican party that cared about blacks in the 1800's the one today is anti black. The republicans never elected a black Presidential nominee either did they? That's better than any chair or co-chair. It's obvious you copied your comment from a book and since you ain't black your motives are suspect. I'm gonna believe NMC who writes from his own knowldge and wisdom instead of a white dude who can only copy/paste something from the internet. His mission is to strengthen blacks with knowledge and yours is to justify slavery and keep us uneducated and weak.

The Constitution allowed one Representative to Congress for each 30,000 inhabitants in a State. Since slaves accounted for more than half the population in some Southern States, slave-owners in the South therefore wanted to count slaves as if they were free inhabitants, thus potentially doubling the number of their pro-slavery representatives to Congress. The abolitionists from the North strenuously objected to counting the slaves, knowing that the fewer the pro-slavery representatives in Congress, the sooner slavery could be eradicated.
Interestingly, the anti-slavery Founding Fathers, in debating this representation question, actually used many of the South's own arguments against them.
More proof of progressive propaganda lying about history.Gore, trying to capitalize on the differences in their philosophies, and exploiting America's historical illiteracy, repeatedly warned black voters:
When my opponent, Governor Bush, says he'll appoint strict constructionists to the Supreme Count, I often think of the strictly constructed meaning that was applied when the Constitution was written - how some people (slaves) were considered three-fifths of a human being.36
According to Gore, Bush apparently would appoint racist Justices to the Supreme Court. This is based on Gore's belief that the three-fifths clause of the Constitution was a pro-slavery provision - a provision declaring blacks to be only three-fifths of a person. Significantly, however, the three-fifths clause was not a pro-slavery clause, and it did not relate to human worth; rather, it was an anti-slavery apportionment provision designed to limit pro-slavery Southern representation in Congress.
There are many other examples of how blacks achieved numerous political firsts within the Republican Party; and so great were the gains of blacks in the Republican Party that in 1866, the Ku Klux Klan was formed to battle both Republicans and blacks with the declared purpose of breaking down the Republican government and paving the way for Democrats to regain control in the elections.32 As a result, blacks were terrorized by murders and public floggings (relief was granted only if blacks promised not to vote for Republican tickets, and violations of this oath were punished by death), and Republican officials were attacked both at home and at the office. In fact, in 1866, Democrats, in conjunction with the mayor and the city police, attacked a Republican Convention of blacks and whites in New Orleans where they killed 40 and wounded 150.
Following a vote in Congress to extend slavery into the Northwestern Territory in May, 1854, twenty House Members coalesced themselves into a group they titled "The Republican Party."10 Its declared purpose was to support the original anti-slavery principles of the federal government. The first Republican Platform (1856) therefore declared:
Resolved. That with our Republican fathers, we hold it to be a self-evident truth that all men are endowed with the inalienable right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. . . . That, as our Republican fathers, when they had abolished slavery in all our national territory, ordained that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, it becomes our duty to maintain this provision of the Constitution against all attempts to violate it for the purpose of establishing slavery.11
The Amendment abolishing slavery passed the House by a margin of 119 to 56 in a vote almost completely along partisan lines. Of the 88 Republicans in the House, all (100%) voted to end slavery; of the 66 Democrats, only 16 (22%) voted to end slavery; and of the 21 third-party representatives (Whigs, Unionists, Emancipationists, etc.), 15 (71%) voted to end that institution.30
In the Senate, the Amendment passed 38 to 6. Of the 30 Republican Senators, all (100%) voted to end slavery; of the 8 Democrats, only 3 (38%) voted to do so; and of the 6 third-party Senators, 5 (83%) voted to end slavery.
In 1875, African-American US Rep. Joseph H. Rainey (Republican from SC) declared: "We intend to continue to vote so long as the government gives us the right and necessary protection; and I know that right accorded to us now will never be withheld in the future if left to the Republican Party." In fact, on the floor of Congress, Rainey told Democrats: "Your votes, your actions, and the constant cultivation of your cherished prejudices prove to the *****es of the entire country that the Democrats are in opposition to them, and if they (the Democrats) could have [their way], our race would have no foothold here. . . . The Democratic Party may woo us, they may court us and try to get us to worship at their shrine, but I will tell the gentleman that we are Republicans by instinct, and we will be Republicans so long as God will allow our proper senses to hold sway over us."
Thats from WallBuilders btw.

"The Republican Party is the ship, all else is the sea." Frederick Douglas. The original philosophies and actions of both major parties are vividly documented in history but are largely unreported today. And while there has been good and bad on both sides, a general pattern is clearly established: African-Americans made their most significant gains as Republicans. Even today many of those patterns still remain. It is significant that black Republican US Rep. JC Watts (OK) chaired the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia in 2000. Watts was the third African-American to chair a National Republican Convention (the first was US Rep. John Roy Lynch (MS) in 1884 and then US Sen. Edward Brooke (MA) in 1968); however, no African-American has ever chaired, or even co-chaired, a Democratic National Convention.
The only place racism is so 'alive' is in the hearts of you leftists. The blacks that actually suffered slavery weren't victims. In a world where there really was slavery here, blacks pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and made something of themselves like a real American does, instead of crying about being a victim. To still be acting like anyone alive today has to deal with or ever did deal with this injustice is a joke to push an agenda by making people feel like victims. Thats why there wasn't a black democrat elected until the 20s or 30s. Thats when they started believing the progressive propaganda that they can't make it and they are victims. Weird their ancestors that actually suffered the evil of slavery made many statements to the contrary. Im going to look up some examples and post shortly if I have time.

You just don't "get over" something burning deep within your soul, brain & bloodstream. Most blacks do not know where these feelings come from themselves or how to face & deal with it.
They wake up in this life as is and where you're born or parents have little part in who you become. What America needs to do is heal what burns in the souls of African Americans.
The racism still flourishing is only keeping the flame burning in our souls and eventually will overtake us. And with the population balance drifting towards a white minority it's time you stop the racial hatred & start listening!

The fact is these movies stop way short of the true heinous inhumanity & brutality of slavery. As horrible as these movies are the truth really would provoke racial violence & unrest.
Even today we are still affected by what our ancestors suffered. Our bloodstream flows with the memories, anxiety & tragedy. Whites don't understand the life of the blood and how it flows from generation to generation.
Or how many of us are "born" with certain predispositions to violence, avoiding labor, etc... Nor do I ever expect whites to get it when their response is always "get over it".

I would say you need to do a little more of that reading you were talking about. I also love a movie about our history, whether good or bad. My problem with this letter is do you really think the 'Butler and 12 Years a Slave' is historically accurate? If you are taking your children to a hollywood movie and telling them it is how it was, you are seriously lacking in your childrens education. 90% of these movies are not even close to history. Your setting your children up to lose actual history while thinking movies are reality. lol

This is because of our sissified society Jennifer and how liberal democrats might get their feelings hurt for telling it like it is.
