It is a fantastic program. 300-400. The sad part is because of the short-sighted and narrow-minded Badger Board of Education, the school still does not have a football program. The Badger Youth program has become a feeder program for Brookfield and other area schools. Badger is losing its best athletes to open enrollment, which is hurting all sports program including girls program as many parents are not going to open enroll just one child. The Board needs to wake up! Your inaction is hurting your school!

High school football is not safe. Keep it with the little ones like it was designed..

First I would like to say I graduated from Badger. I am closer to the people in my community because of football. I would ask the Board who pays for track, cross country, golf, baseball, soccer, school plays, band you get the point. At South Range a Div.VI school not much bigger than Badger, FOOTBALL pays for a lot of that and itself. Nothing brings a community closer than FOOTBALL.Nothing brings alumni back to the old High School more than FOOTBALL. Their must be an accountant there. Do the math you spend a little money up front, but get it all back and then some down the road. Personally I would consider replacing the Superintendent and the entire board for simply being short sighted. You are thinking of only today and not for the future. No wonder it is so difficult to get anyone to attend a class reunion. Equipment, there are plenty of other schools willing to give you their used equipment, and torn down old lockers and builders in the area to donate time to build locker rooms.

Stick with basketball, baseball and cross-country.
