Mon., 7:45am: Retirement, health care cuts looming for some public employees

Some elected officials and part-time public employees may find they no longer qualify for 100 percent benefits when they retire because of changes in Ohio's Public Employee Retirement System....

Why don't we start at the TOP and work down to everyone,Why do congress/senitors/ect get the best.It should be one plan fits all.Then you,ll see things change maybe.

The private sector has been dealing with this for some time now, why should the public sector be any different, especially since they are funded by the private sector. It would be as ridiculous as making people pass a drug test to get a job and not making those on public assistance take the same test to receive funds....oh wait...

Nah, Rezistanceisfutile...You have to remember that there are some fabulous grandfather clauses in there. You didn't think the folks that changed things would cut their own throats did you? They are in the same system as the changes predominately effect employees that retire light years from now. Even when retirement does come for them it's still a sweet deal. (Loving every minute of it!)
