Tsk! Tsk! Our token poster from the peanut gallery name calling and judging another person with whom she disagrees! Tiresome sillyness!

FYI-Jonathon is right, mowing your grass will NOT make Warren a nice place to live!

Taking pride in your home will NOT decrease crime or increase the property values of a neighborhood; especially when they are selling drugs on the corner!

There are a few legal, obvious ways for girls to 'move out of the hood' This is true of all hoods not just Warren. Most common are the girls who choose to marry up and out. Then there are respectable girls who stand on their own, work at getting an education, move out and on according to their own successes or careers.

What are the positive aspects of Warren life? Is this character for real? Maybe at one time, back in the day, this city was booming, but not lately. I lived there for 9 yrs. and am soo glad to be out of the drug/prostitue infested area. There is no hope for Warren to come back alive again. People in the police force and city offices are greedy or turn a blind eye and have let all that's happening happen.

Someone please tell me exactly WHO is this Ross character? He hasn't walked the earth long enough to have any idea how Warren used to be. Someone is obviously paying him to produce this fantasy film, wonder who, maybe more info will come out later to disclose who's greasing him and why.

I lived in the city of Warren for 7 years and went running to the suburbs. I was in the northern part of it and had drug runners making their nightly/weekly drop offs in mail boxes, on their bikes with their backpacks. It was a known matter of fact. Everyone was antisocial and would avoid eye contact so they wouldnt have to talk with anyone. It took 4 yrs of waiving and smiling at my one neighbor before she finally said a word to us. Only until we put the for sale sign up did she walk over with 20 questions. Sooo glad to be out of there.

johnothan there are many people who take pride in there homes. So we are to throw the working citzens under the bus because thugs want to be thugs. I am sorry I will never throw the people who are working to make the city a better place to live under the bus because there are thugs who will be thugs in any city you put them in prime example of this is look at the royal mall. I am proud I grew up in Warren. I am Proud I graduated from Harding And Warren will always be where I am from. I moved to southington to take care of my father in-law, but I still love the city of Warren. If you can't see that johnaton the you are a fool.

Msmith, says taking pride in your home is what it comes down to, well Msmith what about the 70 to 80% of renters, section eighters, gang bangers, home invaders, prostitutes, thieves, murderers, inept and crooked politicians, I guess you feel ALL THAT WILL MAGICALLY VANISH IF YOU MOW YOUR LAWN AND TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR HOME, You are such a dip stick, even WarrenP has more sense when it comes to what is really going on in Warren than what you do.

Agree 100% with msllmiller. I too was part of the let's turn lemons into lemonade brigade three years ago when I moved to Warren. But when the already sour lemons went bad I had to give it up. The place is a dump and the citizens seem to live in their own world that is completely removed from reality and the real world. Trying to put a positive spin on Warren is like trying to put a positive spin on hell.

Warren will be what the citizens make it. By voting for decent people to run the city and putting out a positive vibe to get more businesses to come and set up in Trumbull county. If all you do is BcIoTmCpHlain and not help to turn things around its not going to happen. warren is not the only city with problems either. Those of you who voted for the liar anc chief are to blame for our economy going into the toilet because of his tax and spend policies.

WarrenProud, change your name if all you can speak with is negativity! I actually agreed with some of your comments on other articles for a change but you must be bi-polar with your random thoughts. Can't you let a good story be just that instead of spewing hatred? If you dislike Warren so much I'm sure you aren't being forced to reside here F$%#@&G *******!

Poor roads, high crime, deteriorating housing, low paying jobs, high poverty, bad leadership, crooked politicians, terrible schools, etc., etc, etc. Don't get mad at at me because I'm telling the truth.

Warren is what you make it. I have seen nice houses in warren and I have seen trashy in Warren. It comes down to taking pride in your home.

Warren has many positives and its great someone is pointing them out. But it also has issues, problems, and needs to establish priorities, overlooking the decay that exists does not bode well for the future.

This is indeed a good thing. Now if we can vote for good people to run the city we will really start to bring Warren back. NOT ONE CURRENT POLITICIAN IN THE CITY OR COUNTY SHOULD EVER BE RE-ELECTED TO REPRESENT US IN ANYTHING.

I grew up in Warren and I watched it decay. It wasn't until I left Warren that life began to be wonderful. I'll never return and I do wish the folks still sentenced to live there the best. My advice would be to leave.

How's that old saying go: "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear". There are many positives to Warren, but until the local politicos fix the streets, eliminate the abandoned houses, and reduce the local crime rate, it is still a sow's ear.
