I was at a family get together today. I have a pre school age niece that was watching the cartoon network. I did not think too much of anything at the time but when I walked by the TV they were showing kids how to make couch cushion sandwiches complete with catsup and mustard. they were also showing the little ones how to spray shaving cream all over the house. I was shocked! I informed the mother and the channel changed. And we wonder what the heck is wrong with kids?

In addition to bad/no parenting these kids have too much idle times on their hands to get into trouble. Warren needs a summer job program to let kids learn to get up in the morning, go to work, and earn money LEGALLY. Another problem is the adults have taken over jobs kids used to do. You used to see kids walking up and down the streets cutting lawns, raking leaves, throwing papers, and other chores for extra cash. Now you have adults trying to earn a living doing jobs that kids used to do. These kids have no constructive outlet to keep them occupied and help them mature into responsible adults.

The lack of CONCERN is the main culprit for the most part. Until simple ethics and morals are followed in parenting, change will be non existent. Each generation that follows the same footsteps offer little hope to the children going forward. SAD SAD SAD

The cure is "Parental Guidance". It has to start in the home.

What Warren and Trumbull County needs is for parents to be parents and know where, what, who, and when. Then check up on them to make sure they are not lying. Their are to many drunk, drugged up, deadbeat parents raising kids here.

Warren and Trumbull County needs a good mediation program to handle juvenile cases.

Be a MENTOR, A positive role model. I have helped a few troubled kids with the parents blessings. It made my feel good to help out.

Hopefully there will be a lot of kids enrolled but the parent(s) have to back them! Don't let peer pressure ruin their lives. The young generation needs our PRAYERS!
