"Transparency" I've heard that term before, now where was it, that's right Obama and his "hope and change" campaign, we all see how that's worked out. Outside investigators need to come to town and let the chips fall where the may. Warren's administration is just doing what they always do, cover up and stall for time and hope tax payers forget about it and move on to something else, gotta love those slick Democrats.

Thank you Tribune editorial staff. This is an excellent editorial stating, sadly, truths which concern each of us.

The administration has never given an official public statement on Sunshine. Maybe someone should publicly ask the mayor what the city's stance is.

Chelonia, this is the first I've hard about rent owed on the Vans Building..... Are you sure? Rent from that goes into what has been known as the "downtown development fund".... Golly, if rent is owed on that scale, I think I've found something new to kvetch about....

Franklin administration doing a bang up job first with over $300,000 owed in back rent for the Avalon South course, secondly who nows how much is owed thru Sunshine and finally over $250,000 in back rent is owed to the city for the Vans building on High Street. Hopefully the Trib can bring this to light moneys owed by current tenants, yet this administration sits on their hands!

Thank you, Trib, for continuing to write about this story, in spite of the fact that Franklin and his underlings insist 'nobody cares' about it. We do care and we want this disgusting mess fixed now.

It is about time that the TC Comms. remember that this is county money that they used. It contains monies that should have been used for the townships. Enough of spending Twp monies to support the criminal activities in Warren. That is all Sunshine is!

This problem has been going on since the OBrien administration! Follow the money and you will find Keys ,Hicks,O.B. ,Franklin, and other city officials.why else would Hicks keep giving out favorable legal opinions except to protect their own financial interests.

If Sunshine wants to keep its records private, then there should be no public money involved.

Those government officials who allowed Sunshine to skate on their financial obligations for 10 years should be individually identified and held accountable.

We also expect that there will be a money trail to follow and have little faith that local officials will faithfully do that.

Millions in taxpayer dollars spent means that Iannucci & Sunshine need to be made to open their records up to the public. Special Grand jury needed on this one.
