Nice to see that greed is alive and well. Since these politicians are out of touch with reality, maybe they need to get real jobs at Walmart or Panera Bread.

No one from the administration in Warren seem to want to lay claim to being responsible for agreeing to this "ME TOO" clause in local contracts, please come forward, we would all like to know who the moron was that bowed down to the union and agreed to this clause that ONLY benefited union members and NOT THE TAXPAYERS WHO PAY THE BILLS, you local democrats have totally ruined Warrens chance of survival, but you're all to self serving to see it.

Isn't being on council a part time job?

I mean, what kind of moron signs up for a full time job that has a take home pay of less than 800 bucks a month?

Warren residents should start recall petitions for any of those council members "on board" with this feeble attempt to bankrupt the city of Warren, Hospitalization for LIFE what a joke you clowns are!!

What a slap in the face to city of Warren citizens and the employees of the city of Warren. The tax paying public deserves better than this ludicrous attempt of extortion.

The employee's of Warren deserves better also, most employee's have gone about 9 years without a raise. They have given concessions to help with the financial abyss this once great city finds itself, including paying more of their health care.

For council to even discuss the possibility of raises borders on lunacy and is a clear indicator of an inept body, one that should be excised.

What in God's name have any of those bozos done to deserve a raise?

Any discussions of changes to the costs for city council should involve the reduction in the number of elected officials commensurate with the reduction in city population.

They should talk salary cuts in Warren with the horrible job council does. These fools don't see this city failing and headed down the same road as Detroit. Abandoned buildings, overgrown lots, bad streets, unkempt parks, business leaving in droves, etc. are just a few of the symptoms. Don't change the law.

Agreed Tribune. Council should not do this as it will open up a can of worms and only fuel public perception that politicians only are it for themselves. What about all those "me too" clauses? Council should not...but will...because they can.
