Fuda may be sincere and stand up but that makes him a nice guy (maybe) but not necessarily a good commissioner. He has no idea of what is going on in the county and should not be a commissioner. If the county was a corporation he would be the last person I'd want to be the CEO. We need someone who can move the county forward before Fuda destroys the county. But he'd never know because he doesn't know any better.

Frank Fuda is a standup kind of guy. One of only a few Dems I will vote for. We need this man on our County Commission!

It's no wonder I left Trumbull County, when I retired, after living there for 45 yrs. I've known Frank Fuda since High school, He is one of the most sincere people you will ever meet. enough of the character asassination. His record speaks for itself. you meatheads need to get a life. If your not part of the solution don't be part or all of the problem

my2centsworth When is the last time you did anything for trumbull county. I am tired of people camplaining but not doing anything. Have you ever talked to frank fuda or any of the commisoners to tell them you was not happy with something. If you havent then your complaining on a local newspaper borad does nothing

Fuda may be ok with small neighborhood issues like a wet yard or even putting up a corkboard at the jfs. But ask the chamber president for the last time Fuda was at his office or Eastgate COG director for the last time Fuda was at his office or the port authority director the last time fuda was at her office promoting a major project or business in Trumbull county. I believe the answer to all would be never. If you don't believe it call them.

As a private citizen all I can say about Mr. Fuda is that I have met him several times, we spoke about my concerns in my neighborhood and within 30 days everything we talked about was completed.

One thing I learned about him is that he keeps his word and maybe some concerns here are based on him being a Democrat and not just a good person who listens and does what is needed for the community.

And the "mass exodus of county residents" was happening long before Fuda ever showed up...there are far more reason people leave then just one man. I have watched people leave for over 50 years, that is the way things happen everywhere.

The bear I am a d and I don't vote for him I don't like polivka. I agree with you. The only time you see polvika do anything is when it is election season. There are more bad things I can say about polivka then I ever can fuda

At least he's not a sexist wife-beating pig, like another Trumbull County politician, who the voters will keep stupidly voting in as long as he has the "D" after his name.

My2centsworth the interns were treated like dumb interns who did not know anything. Our job was to help people find jobs and to help them file unemployment. Our boss was always helping the companies who were doing mass layoffs . Do you know how many times I heard I will get to that? I ended up working with a jobs clerk to get things done. By the time I left we had a dry erase borad , a cork board, and folders for every new client with important information in it.

4seasons nothing was getting done I would tell our bosses and nothing happened they would say we will get to it and then do nothing. It wasn't till fuda came in to the office and talked to my boss that it got done. My boss would not listen to the people who worked in the jobs room. Our boss never came in the office and asked us what we needed.

4seasons I agree with you again. But I think the jfs people were on it, it's just that Fuda made people believe he deserved the credit (that is if any credit was due). Fuda will take every opportunity he can to take the credit for anything positive but of course ducks for cover otherwise. He's a phony. We need someone with substance in that office.

Why didn't the director or other TCJFS mgmt. member take care of that? Maybe the commissioner(s) should've been reprimanding those who directly run TCJFS rather than doing their work for them. It sounds like it was important, but someone within the dept was negligent in doing their job. Am I understanding that correctly?

4seasons it was a big problem because the county residents were not getting the important information they needed about their unemployment. That board has helped many people find information that they did not know about. For example all the services through 411 or the free work shops that one stop offers.

No one said he isn't a great "politician."

A cork board. Wow. Now if he'd only attend to the real problems in the county, but, I guess that's what his attorney is for.

Ms smith you make a very good point. Polivka and Heltzel are worthless too.

My2centsworth I worked there during an off year election. You can't just single out fuda when you have other county commissioners who do not do their job. How many times do you hear about Dan polivka do something good he only does something good when election is coming up. Hartzel you never hear about him doing anything. I will never place on one person when there are other people not doing what they were voted in to do

Ms smith I understand what you are saying but don't be fooled. Fuda is most likely making those visits as part of his campaigning for votes and looking for job openings to fill with people he promises jobs for votes. Ill give Fuda credit he is a master at this but we can't afford a commissioner that's only interested in self preservation and not interested in the best interest of the county. He doesn't even know what goes on in the county. Look at the disarray in the health dept and engineer dept. A good commissioner would step in and fix it. I can go on and on. With all due respect the best fix is just to replace Fuda.

My2centsworth have you once met the man or even said two words to him. He was the only one of the commissioners who ever stepped foot in that building the whole time I worked there. I never seen polivka or hartzel in that building doing anything they can to help me or the job seakers out.

My neighbor's dog wags its tail and greets everyone that walks by so I suppose if this makes Fuda such a great commissioner then my neighbor's dog would be a great one too. You would hope a commissioner would have some substance. We deserve better.

I love how this writer can criticize the OPINION columnist for basing an article on her own opinions and not fact, but then fill an entire letter with her own opinions and claim those are the facts. As she noted at the beginning of her letter, the column was listed as an opinion, and obviously people have different opinions of the commissioner.

Has anyone ever taken the time to speak with frank fuda. I got the opportunity to meet him several times I was an intern at jobs and family services. He used to come in the room I was working in at least once a week and ask me what did I need to make my job easier or was there anything that would make the job seekers job easier and when I suggested something he did his best to make it happen. So when you go to the jobs room thank frank fuda for the cork board with all the important information you need to know.

Fuda is as phoney and superficial as his tanning booth tan. He's nothing but an opportunist who needs to be voted out.
