Disgustedmom,I hate to be nit picky, but at 13 I would think your child would be at least responsible enough if not to watch the 7 year old in a vehicle for a few minutes, but at least watch him self. I was way younger than that, but that was a different time. : )

To bad any idiot can have a gun. Like a drivers license one should have to take an IQ test to possess a gun or a drivers license. No excuse for stupid.

OMG! How many times! I just don't understand what is so hard about putting a trigger lock on your gun. What is so hard about not taking your pet to the store when it's 90 degrees out! What is so hard about NOT leaving your children in the car when it's 90 degrees out! These are ALL common sense things, yet we read EVERY day about one or more of these senseless tragedies. Wake up people! I'm a gun owner, have two children, yet I have enough sense to have a trigger lock put on and the key hidden away! I have enough sense to NOT take my dogs with me in the car when it's hot out and I need to run errands....and would NEVER leave either of my children, age 7 and 13 unattended in a vehicle, no matter for how long. Sorry for the rant, but I'm so sick of senseless deaths. Both parents and the grandparent should be held responsible for this child's death! Accident, or not! Over and out!

I bet these guns will be proven to have come from burgled homes. This looks to me like another consequence of guns in the hands of criminals.

I am with articwolf if you on a gun it should have a gun lock on it and it should be put away. This is just common sense the adults in the house should be charged with reckless homicide and neglect because they failed to keep that gun in a safe manner. I wonder if the gun was even registered to them. It sounds to me like someone stashed away a stolen gun and the kids found it.

How many times do we have to read articles like this before people get smart and lock thier guns up?

Down in the ghetto of Youngstown, I guess it's okay for kids to play with guns? Sounds like all 3 of these individuals should be brought up on involuntary manslaughter charges and be headed to jail. Who leaves a loaded gun let alone 3 where a 1, 4 or 5 year old can get at it.

Rest in peace little one - your in a better place now.
