Nativio I hadn't counted "knowitall" among the haters. I believe whatever went on has been greatly exaggerated. Any citizen could do well to follow his business model...

Not to mention, Nomore, for all we know, Facts is one of those AVI people and no piece of this public employee's car collection could buy his/her home!

Yes. I am baiting with that public employee comment!

Ah.... Nomore, I think Facts was just referring to the rumor as to what Officer Shaw was up to with this towing incident.

Which has been floating around town all day.

I don't see any asset counting or hating in his/her posting... Just a wink-wink reference to what people have been talking about since this story broke today.

Old cars? You're absolutely wrong "knowthefacts". That's a top notch fully restored collection, any 2 of which could purchase your home.

Thank God I've always believed in forming corporations and leaving my name off of assets. It's too easy for jealous haters to see what properties you own and try to count your money.

Better to keep prosperity out of the public eye. Let folks believe we're all broke, struggling and tinkering with old cars...

So I am wondering how this all came up again- since the shift leaders let him go home that night and seemingly all was well- wonder who spilled the beans? I like the bean spiller- give them the extra 19,000 a year for outing the good old boys.

Mahoning Co. elected officials and it's Sheriff Department is corrupt to the core. Warren city needs to clean up it's act as well.

Shaw was just trying to be the Jerry Seinfeld of the WPD, collecting old cars.

He's a great officer and exemplary guy all around. Anyone saying otherwise is probably envious that he's done well for himself. And just so you know Sloitdn he has a property manager who handles that. Just because an officer is disciplined doesn't always mean they've done wrong, maybe he told a shift captain the truth about themselves.

Maybe Reuben Shaw got caught checking on his rental property and collecting rent from his tenants while on the clock.

I've always known Reuben Shaw to be a good officer. I hope it isn't anything serious.

Why was the FBI involved in a local OVI incident?

Or is there something else going on?

Eyes, I get a kick out of the way the officers "hide" their cruisers at the back of the building while on their "breaks".

The good old boys approach to a politician's OVI in Mahoning County was alive and well. Any of us would have been off to jail in handcuffs.

What did Shaw do, police brutality on a free breakfast at the Mocha House?
