reallytiredofit: I never intended to make suggestions as to how to make this country more safe.

To me this IS a separate issue from citizens losing freedoms.

Incumbents are sent back to Washington D.C. at an 80% clip. Who is really to blame here.

Secondly, The paraphrasing of the Ben Franklin quote at the end of the letter is off the mark.

Please read the full text of the letter from 1755 that contains said quote.

Well we could abolish the biggest terrorist of all the US govt. Im sure the people of syria really love us now too after we started a civil war in their country. Much like all the other countriee we meddled with who now hate us. If we had a non interventiinist policy like switzerland we wouldnt need to be protected. I dont see much in the news about terrorist attacks in switzerland. Hiws that for starters. Abolish the criminal govt we have in place and over.

"It's easy to be against something, but it takes thought and courage to actually attempt to balance the rights of freedom with the necessities of national security."

Time for another stupid breakdown.

1. Illiteracy. It's not a disease. Apparently, she's afraid of the cure.

2. "It's easy to be against something".

LOL.

Yea.. it's easy to be against freedom when you lie about serving your country and fighting for it.

Or when you'd rather give up all your rights, all your freedom so nanny gubermant takes care of you.

3. Sad.

Sad because she's all over the place on top of just all around pathetic.

As with Tim, the writer of the LTTE, Surv69 you have not made any suggestions on how you propose to best protect the lives and property of the American people from terrorist attacks. It's easy to be against something, but it takes thought and courage to actually attempt to balance the rights of freedom with the necessities of national security. Why not help the process by offering your ideas on the subject?

I don't really care if someone wants to give up their freedoms.

Freedoms that were fought for and freedoms that have been protected by blood.

But no one is capable of giving up "their", freedoms without giving up other citizens' freedom ... and what about the next generation who won't even have those freedoms left to decide on ... whether they'd be willing to give up freedoms, which no longer exists.

Giving up freedom for the sake of security is at best, a band aid approach to security.

What happens in the year 2050, when no more freedoms exist to be given up?

"Who invented the Patriot Act - Bush & Cheney!!! "

Wrong!!

LOL.

Let's see another moonbat brain explode.

Joe Biden helped write the core of the Patriot Act.

Problem is the simps can't understand that wrong is wrong regardless of who is sitting in the chair.

Sad.

"... were talking about people who want to KILL us.. as happend a month ago..I hardly call recording my phone no or who I call or for how long I talk as an Invasion of my 4th amendment rights."

Anyone care about what an illiterate "thinks?"

Same loser that says she served and used a 50 cal.

That's the same shill that's packing a 40mm Glock.

But, it's o.k. for her to support this invasion NOW.

Now being the key, but she wouldn't have 6 years ago when the MSNBC moonbats were telling her about it.

Wouldn't you love to see her tiny brain explode when she hears that GITMO is still open?

Yea it has and we have allowed it. There are roughly a few thousand political leaders/bankers and pentagon oligarchs running rough shod on 300 million plis people. Spending our money on global domination while they allow our country to go BK. The left and right need to come together before there is nothing left to argue about. Bush handed the torch off to obama and he continued down the big govt road. I believe its already to late. They have consolidated all the power away from the people in the executive branch. We were warned and didnt listen.

Rez, you are right about the USA funding terrorists around the world. That has been going on unabated since the end of the second world war. Only one president in history has ever attempted to use moral values when extending money to foriegn contries. That was Jimmy Carter who cut aide to countries that had a poor human rights record. YOU hated him and call him a wussie.

The US govt is the biggest terrorist org this side of the moon. They fund extremists directly overseas causing misery and death for those in their cross hairs. Lol sam you dont mind having your rights violated to be safe. Surprise. Im sure you would comply with cavity searches at grocery stores to keep you safe.

Ok Tim, you have rightly brought the issue to debate, the problem is that you offer no solutions to the issue of the security of our nation or the safety and well being of its citizens. It appears to me that what you are really saying is that the government should not even try to prevent an attack from these rogue armies of terrorists. The only way to have total freedom is to have no government at all. I suspect that is what you are advocating.

Tim, we gave up our freedoms when we first elected, then re-elected this wannabe "President". Of course, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out why he was elected in the first place, then re-elected.
