When your 15 you are mature enough to get abortion or day after pill without parents knowing, but you are still a kid at 26 to stay on parents health insurance, BOY IS THIS CONFUSING!!

I think the 20 year old was more guilty. He did nothing when she became unresponsive, tried to hide the truth and made beyond stupid decisions.

Hopperman you just made a big assumption! she was still a kid! kids make big mistakes! I knew better at 17 but that does not give the drug dealer a right to a light sentence! I think the 20 yr old is just as guilyt as all of them but teenagers dont always have good judgement. I think they should hang all drug dealers that sell to kids. if you are an adult & stupid enough to do the drugs, fine! kill yourself dont prey on the kids! why should this guy get away with it, to kill more kids! yes I agree the parents should be involved int their lives! Hopperman did you ever do anything dumb when you were 17 or maybe your sibling or friend? we love to jump to conclusions & berate people on this site, dont we!

So what your saying Doloweiss,is that we are not held accountable for are actions until we are in our twenties?Get real you know the differnce between right and wrong, thats no excuse that she was only 17.Maybe she should of hung around a better crowd of people or better yet where were her parents?

This entire thing is just sad. Any 17 year old, white, black, Hispanic, etc... should know this is a dangerous drug. If she spent $50 that is to much for somebody that rarely done or never done this this drug before. So did she get a small group high? This is just sad. If the boyfriend had been doing this drug for 4 years he should have known better and no plea deal should have been made for him, the dealer, the father, or the other so called friend.

Excellent point Chem, in fact the comments would have been "a junkie got what she deserved" instead of kill the dope man.

This is a tragic accident, there was no malice, intent or anything close. These folks should be doing time for drug possession/sales and failing to get medical attention, not homicide!

There is PLENTY of blame to go around. The biggest FAIL is on the kid's father who came home and did nothing. Why are his hands clean in this?

Plus, no one "experiments" with hero in for 4 years! After 4 years of use he is junkie. Period.

After trying everything they still couldn't awaken her? Like MM said, if they had called 911 she would probably be alive today. Someone in the crowd, or those who stopped by, would have been coherent enough to at least do that (911). "H" at 17?

Mandatory you must be a dealer! You think that's ridiculous? It's all ridiculous! She should have never been able to buy it. But scum thrive off of young kids. The guy who shot her up should go to jail for life! What kind of person does that?
