April 7, 2013

DEAR EDITOR: I am not writing much of a letter, I just want to comment on the article in the Monday paper about Republic and Allied Waste....

Mine was picked up a few days big deal. The Union had it's say, heard the company's side so let's move on. The Unions keep trying to squeeze the life blood out of these companies AND the taxpayers. Go to work, work with the companies to keep everybody working even if it is less money. Start planning your future with less money because that is the way it is going to be.

Some people couldn't leave a relevant comment if they were paid to. There entire life is consumed with miss information and rumor. Like junior high school girls.

I just can't believe that anybody is going to die if they miss one week of garbage collection. The things people will find to get miserable about? Grow up.

The Central States pension fund is and will be the central issue.

Mrright, I'm not Teamsters accountant or treasurer, so I don't know status of funds, but this comment section has nothing to do with that!

False claims, unfair labor practice, not working in good faith and that all garbage was picked up by replacements!

Allied caved quick, not even a day after claiming to have reported to board of labor.

My story is true by the way, have heard from several garbage wasn't picked up, replacement workers struggled, thank goodness nobody was hurt or property damage occurred.

Funny, my aunts and neighbors was picked up by Allied, and she has a different service! Fact her and neighbors cleaned out garage/basement and set trash out, betting replacement workers would grab it, they did!

Strike didn't last a week, company made a lot of claims, all seemed to be false.

Warrenproud, you don't have any room to talk, "go back to work" ?
