The 85 employees who voted to keep open the General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant in Warren deserve the community’s support for standing up to their 91 co-workers who voted to shut down the facility....

Careful with your opinion Trib. Pretty sad seeing that union jobs in and around Warren kept city alive for so many years, now city is dying while union and non union jobs leave. Coincidence? Doubt it.

People at Ravenna had no say in anything.

Safe to say not one union person wanted plant to close, bottom line is its closing, just a matter of when.

Union members voted, company knew there would be a membership split. Companies like GE will continue to move production overseas,

If GE were non union or paying half the wages, with half the number of employees.. they would still shut the doors if there was opportunity to make more money by paying less somewhere else.

91 people voted to take the world's pre-eminent corporation out of the valley and the potential for hundreds of new jobs away from hard working families only asking for a chance to work hard. Why? For purely selfish reasons they cast votes without conscience, ethics or any semblance of caring about anyone but themselves. Shame on every last one of them.
