The fact is, Democrat or Republican, no one is going to volunatarily vacate a safe seat to run for something that he's not guaranteed. He can continue to show up at parties, fundraisers, etc., smile for the press, and make nice with the media to keep a safe seat.

With such a high & vocal percentage of Republicans on this message board who are so dissatisfied with the Democratic dynasty in the area, where are your candidates? All I ever hear & read is what your gripes are against those who win elections. Nothing about who among your party is better qualified or even if you are willing and able to do a better job.

It's like you're sitting in the audience watching a ballgame, criticizing the athletes but unwilling to enter the game when offered a chance. You're all offered an opportunity to get in the game and make this huge & necessary contribution that you keep ranting about.

Why have'nt you abandoned your seated positions on your Republican rear ends? Either get in the game or join the rest of us as Americans by supporting whoever is in charge today...

Did you mean "you are" or perhaps "you're" a stellar example?

Timmy boy saw the polls and just like Strickland they both know they wouldn't have a chance in h ll to beat Kasich, now if people would wake up in this valley and get rid of the Democrats we would all be better off.

The only thing worse than losing is not trying. Whatever Ryan is or is'nt he had the fortitude to throw his hat in and make a difference. Proving he's a better man than the morons sitting in front of their monitors discussing bullcrap all day or pretending to be intelligent.

Lately this has become an extremely negative message board, so much so that the regulars have faded away leaving the landscape to dimwits & idiots. No where else are human beings so diametrically opposed to others for no sane reason other than political affiliation, wealth, intelligence or because they're successful...

What made Mr. Ryan think that the people of Ohio would elect as governor a congressman with no discernible accomplishments, who only keeps his seat because of a gerrymandered district and a lapdog local press.
