Mr USBlues & Mr Right- When I told Samaree that the gov't may take his pension.++partial explaination++ Obama has an redistribution ideology- He will gradually change Medicare to Medicaid for all, forcing a Cuba-like Universal care. They have been looking at the 401 Pension money and how to move that personal money into Social Security. Lastly, they would like to Nationalize all pension accounts. By going this everyone would receive the same amount of pension.

If Obama can knock the Republicans out of control in 2014-the last two years of his Presicency, it will be like an atomic going off in everyone's back yard. It will be too late- the free people will be reduced to sheeple.

Sam halfwit and McDrone: Economics is not a 'zero sum game' Rich people are not taking money from people that are not rich.

I'm certain both of you are math or economics impaired, also there are new rich people everyday. There are people that were in the BOTTOM 20%-EARNINGS 10 years ago that are now in the TOP 5% EARNINGS.

Blues, I know you're trying educate people on this forum, its a very difficult task to undertake and be successful.

"...why are the poor, poor?"

Because the rich are rich.

Everything in this life is quantized due to the existence of this Currency thing. This means that there is only a finite amount of 'value' that exists. Therefore, as soon as somebody has more than they need, somebody else invariably must have less than they need.

Exponentiate this on the grandest of scales, and you have what's know as life on earth.

What's a fair share? Comparing unskilled and uneducated private workers to teachers is not a "fair" comparison, is it?

Let's compare a chemistry teacher with a masters degree in chemistry making $65K plus bennies to a chemist with a masters degree working for Dow Chemical to be fair.

Methinks it's a wash.

Or compare a college educated journalist with a Master's degree in English to an English teacher of like qualifications. I think it would be a wash again.

Or compare anyone in the private sector working in their field with an advanced degree and you'd see a parallel pay scale. The public sector myth will fall apart as fast as you can say "propaganda".

Also, comparing our public schools with the best nations in the world should be an honor. So what if American kids rank 17th out of the best 20 nations on earth. 17th still puts us in the top 90% percentile of nations worldwide. And our public schools accomplish this in spite of epidemic drug use, lazy welfare culture, and the media and politicians turning the nation against teachers. Not too bad considering half of our inner city kids don't even show up for proficiency tests.

You suggested school teachers are useless idiots who can't do anything worthwhile so the teach. Really?

You should experiment by volunteering to teach Sunday school classes at your church and get back to me. I suppose you believe leading 20-30 eager minds for an hour at a time is doing nothing and requires no knowledge or skill? Just imagine doing that 5 hours every day!

If the kids hate public schools as much as their brainwashed parents (you and mrright) the job would take knowledge, skill, and the patience of a saint. You wouldn't last a week with your mouth.

Marmel and Mrright

You claim our public schools are "failing" and I suppose you can prove it? Failing based on what standards? No Child Left Behind? Should you expect inner city kids to perform at the level of suburban kids overnight? Try to compare inner city kids' performances today to inner city 10, 20, 30, 50 years ago and you'll see our public schools are very successful.

70 years ago most kids dropped out by 9th grade. Today schools are labeled drop-out factories when only 20% drop out. Explain?

Because of you schools have to deal with bad attitudes from parents and students because they believe your baseless claims about public schools.

You can't prove your claims anymore than public schools can disprove your lies.

What's best for society is for all of us to support teachers and schools. They aren't as bad as you think. And $50-60K is not rich!

Ask Europe how thats going moron boy. Is their a funnel from baracks arse to your ears??? You are so matter of fact about wrong information.

Poor gubment workers averaging 65K a year. They are really feeling the recession like the ones they want to take more from.

You morons hate republicans and conservatives so much but without them you couldn't eat. Most of you liberals are unemployed slum dwellers, another big chunk of you are factory ants in a union and the bulk of you that work work for government. Hardly any of you are actual producers. You work for somone who actually started a business (yet you think you know more than him), Yoo have some government leaching off us

Bottom line. If you support union strikes in the public sector you are a hopless idiot. Plane and simple. Bottom line if you think unions help the middleclass than where the*****is the middleclass in the strong union regions. The used to be there! There is one common variable in all cases... THE UNION....

The strongsville situation is an illustration of the greed and point blank sleaziness of unions and democrats in general. We are in the middle of a recession and these ingreats demand more from a bleeding economy when people are suffering and hurting for work. And to top it off they use the kids as pawns. For decades they have said it was for the kids yet our education system has gotten worse the more money we pour in.

Don't have enough mental fortitude to look at the unions track record in all industries the last 40 years. Pillagers and bloodsuckers leaving a path of unemployment and decay.
