Once the turnpike was paid for the board said that if tolls were to continue that the toll road would be able to expand and be maintained at a better rate than federal highways in the state. I for one agree that this has be the case. Eliminating the tolls would make it just like I-70. A pitted mess of holes and bumps. This isn't a new issue for the continuation of tolls on the turnpike.

I don't think that any money should be leaned against the turnpike. It will take funds that if you remember Kaysuck said the turnpike cost to much to operate. So taking money from it will the fibers inaccurate spew worse. It amazes me that these politicians think nobody can remember the crap they fed us yesterday.

Does anyone remember the promise to Ohioans to make the Turnpike a free road once the ORIGINAL bonds were paid off?

Yeah right.

What makes you think that any promises made by today's crop of politicians will be any more sacred?

How is this any different from the despicable financial dealings of our Federal government where we borrow heavily and saddle our children and grandchildren with future debt so we can live large today?

Someone, someday, will have to pay back that money.

We can't get by with tolls and gas tax income today.

Do we expect that to miraculously improve in the future?
