Yes, we need common sense gun control in this country and we need it now to prevent any more Columbines or Sandy Hooks. This has NOTHING to do with anyone's 2nd Amendment rights.

Yes we do need more gun control laws. We need to require every able bodied citizen to own a rifle or handgun and be field qualified three years. We also need universal concealed carry. To make things totally fair, there should be gun giveaways in high crime areas to anyone who doesn't have a criminal record or mental illness.

For your information, the 2nd amendment was not meant to prevent Columbines or Sandy Hooks. It is meant to prevent a Nazi Holocaust, Russian Genocide, Chinese Genocide, Cambodian Genocide, or Rwanda Genocide. The only reason for you to believe as you do is if you think you will be holding the government gun and not be the target.

Columbine happened during the last ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN.

Lanza committed 41 felonies. 42 wouldn't have stopped him.

It sick and sad that the left bots like using the death of babies to mindlessly promote their ignorant agenda.

There is nothing in our constitution that provides for "common sense" gun control whether it be your definition of "common sense" or mine.

It just plain isn't there.

If you are dissatisfied with our constitution, there are specific steps to be taken to amend it.

Otherwise, one should plan on adhering to the the most inspired man-made set of rules of governance ever created or find a location with rules more to their suiting.

If you need more than 9 shots to shoot someone in your house, you don't need a gun.

Trained police officers have a hit rate of less than 40% of shots fired.

We wouldn't expect a nervous homeowner to do better and we wouldn't limit intruders to just one.

I do not support some DC politician, who has security details, telling Americans how many rounds we can have in a magazine.

We have little confidence that the bad guys will adhere to any limits.

To many people look at organizations like the NRA as if they have a great amount of control. In reality they are a small part of the American populous. We are made up of over 300,000,000 people and the NRA is approximately 4.5 million members. A little over one percent. Not vary impressive numbers. A weapons ban will ban law abiding citizens from having such weapons and accessories. Criminals could care less what the rules are. Yes, there are rules that need changed. They are rules that provide access to mental health counseling, intervention into those that don't realize they have mental health problems and those that need them. More laws won't change things most are being concerned about. Enforcing the laws we have is the answer.

The NRA was formed to protect the rights of newly freed slaves to own guns. The NRA was responsible for helping to arm freed slaves when the racist liberals of the country at the time were killing blacks with their organization....the KKK. That's the origin of the organization. If gun controls are attempted to be put in place, in any manner or form, I doubt very much black Americans will comply. They already realize that gun control is actually people control. Good for them! I stand with them.

You will, however, see a very high percentage of white Americans complying with anything the gov't tells them to do on any issue, including handing over the guns the gov't tells them are "bad" for them.

Listen to these black Americans.
