Mr. Crap they must give the benefit of doubt until they hear the evidence. If they give any indication that they will not do such, they are discounted from the jury pool. If one don't like accusations made of the people they identify with, they should not make accusations of those of a different culture to satisfy their anger and frustration. We all know this man is a sick perv. However, to say all suburbanites and rural people are the same is an urban legend created by inner city sub cultures. Hate is hate whether told by a white or black man. Lets all stop the hate.

i understand the sentiment, and not speaking for anyone else in this thread (i read a lot of these comments and i assume most of you are conveniently expressing your views behind the anonymity of a computer), but if i walk in on any man/woman abusing any child, i will appreciate having the same constitutional rights that this man did.

because i would need them.

that said, giving the death penalty for 'fondling' is just internet bluster. there's a reason the supreme court/federal court/federal appeals court all have denied death penalty cases for child abuse.

one hand, this is obviously the worst thing that can happen to a child other than dying. on the other, death/life w/o parole isn't the appropriate punishment.

this obviously becomes a punishment vs. rehabiliation convo, but people responding he should be given the death sentence are forgetting the 8th amendment.

this man will live to regret his crime. however the death penalty is and should be off the table.

These Jurors are morons for not seeing this guy was motivated by perversion from the very first day. You don't give benefit of any doubt to the pedophile, you just don't!

That is why victims have such a hard time reporting molestation. You have a Jury pool of rural suburban idiots who are desensitized because they're either degenerates or used to molestation games themselves and have no mercy.

The should have put a needle in his arm the first time he was caught molesting a child. These people cannot be "fixed." Once a child molester, always a child molester.
