Thank You Teri Boggs, I am the mother of a recovering ****** addict, She has been clean 29 months !! PRAISE GOD !!! When I read this I got tears. I can relate to EVERY word. I used to look at people who had children that was addicts and think. Why didn't they see this ? Why didn't they stop it ? How could they let it get out of control and then BAMMM It hit my home. I have NEVER dont drugs do not drink.. I though HOW could this happen WHY didn't I see this ? How did I miss the signs ? She was in rehab for 7 1/2 months and I was there right beside her during her inpatient treatment and when she was outpatient I still went !! I needed to LEARN..I needed to understand.. I PRAY this story helps many many people who are going thru the same thing and I PRAY people who have children read this and UNDERSTAND this can happen to anyone. God Bless you xoxo

If you have a loved one, there is only one place to send them to get help. The facility is in Rock Creek, it is run by Glenbeigh but it's alot different than the ones around here. I personally had people admitted to the Glenbeigh facility's in Niles and Youngstown, in hopes of saving their jobs. Don't remember one person that changed after being admitted to those facility's. Actually the way they talked it was like a paid vacation, and a chance to prey on others just like them. Prey meaning hitting on the women there. But every one that I got to go to the facility in Rock Creek changed. Most of them after only one 28 day stay. So if you think about sending your loved one to a rehab clinic, send them to the one in Rock Creek. I use to be amazed by the story's, I was told after they spent 28 days at the other facility's, even the one in Cleveland was the same.

Unless you've been an addict you really wouldn't understand what they're going through. The key is ..... you can only help an addict that wants help. Addiction is a horrible disease for the addict and their loved ones. I praise all of those who get out of this awful crippling life style.

What good will come from this story. Really. Now Terri Boggs is a hero. Please, marijuana is not a gateway drug; is that the real reason for this article because this is poor reporting. Why pick Boggs when there are hundreds of moms out there with the same problem; now we now her son is in prison but she wants him to remain anonymous. lol OK

H is bad stuff, people often turn to it after being hooked on painpills. It's a cheap abundant substitute for scripts. And I agree Zenith.

H has become such the drug of choice because of these Dr's that were handing out scripts for the opioid s like candy. Now that the gov has cracked down on this, these Dr's threw the people they got addicted to the curb instead of weaning them off. Now they are getting H (easier than pain pills). I can think of a few Dr's I will not mention and they should be VERY ASHAMED.

David1...FYI, I am not nor have ever done H. I get info from my kids who go to school or other informed people in the community. You don't have to be or have been an addict to KEEP INFORMED of what is going on around your city and surrounding areas!

1st off I would like to say that it is great to live in a country where we all have our freedom to express our opinions. Now if you are not an addict or have lived with an addict you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about in terms of living with addiction. You can have your opinions on drugs and abuse, but should not act like you know what we are going through. If you are expressing your opinion while you are in recovery please please give your advise to others. If you are currently in addiction I pray that you seek help, but your comments mean nothing as you really have no idea what you are saying.People should tell their stories so they can help those around us.They should not be ashamed or be embarrassed anymore. The disease of addiction is an epidemic. Its going to take community involvement to clean up our communities. There is help for the families and loved ones of addicts you can find a meeting near you at NAR-ANON. They share their experience, strength&hope GodBl

See lil boy, there's a great big World outside your room in your mommy's house, And its not all Rainbows and Butterflys. Way to tell him mom of 2! That's part of being a parent, being aware.

Actually David1 it goes like this. Once an addict always an addict. The only difference is you learn not to give in and be a using addict. Your ignorance always shows through what you write. Today's entry just shows more of the same. Featherstone has it right ....... little tard boy! :))

side note: Let's see a story about the children of the addicts. I met a mother who 1: sold her food stamps 2: sold children's toys and clothes 3: brings the valley's sleeziest people into her home and put the kids at risk of being violated. I've heard stories of moms allowing a pimp to rent the children our - sex trafficking - for money for drugs. let's see a story on the innocent children that live in this mess. Perhaps CSB or alternative shelters would participate in this?
