There is no way to prepare for some mental health issues that arise in society. The only way to do anything is bring back the ability for people to have access to mental health counseling so that they don't have to wait a month to get an initial appointment. They can put police, metal detectors, drones, TSA agents, Secret Service, etc... and somebody somewhere will think of someway to hurt another. Look at the moron in Texas. The best ideas have been presented. Some schools see them as viable, like allowing faculty and staff to be TRAINED to carry their weapons on school property. The only people that need to know who they are, are the administration, removing the morons that choose to test such actions. School and other GUN FREE ZONES are picked because of the lack of defense that exist. Stop thinking everybody that has a gun is Dirty Harry. Teachers and administrators are educated people. Many already have CCW's and some are veterans, avid hunters, and gun enthusiasts.

WP:

Neanderthal recitation of the Progressive talking points just stands in the way of real progressive (with a small p ) thinking of how our community can best prepare for, and prevent a tragic event.

We conceded that you are exercising your Constitutional right to oppose private gun ownership. We get that.

Please do not openly propose that others be denied their Constitutional rights just because those rights don't get your personal stamp of approval.

And please be advised that by constantly belittling and demeaning those individuals and organizations with whom you disagree just diminishes your argument to the point of irrelevance .

There is no solution without universal background checks for any gun ownership, and an end to assault rifles and large magazines ownership in America. The NRA & their CEO survivalist nut case LaPierre be WRONG! He made a fool of himself again on Faux News Sunday.
