Unemployed in May? Only if what Unitedfortruth says about an economic and social breakdown is true... which I doubt. Just a simple nobody who often speaks out of line. Tried to spell everything correctly, I often multi-task. Thanks Nativio!

Nativio289. In no way am I disputing the prediction/outcome of SUNSET, nor am I affiliated in anyway. I simply stated what I know, Sunrise hired a former City cop that was fired for dishonesty, paid him under the table. Sunrise pulled strings to have story on firing couple mths ago. Someone's feelings got hurt. Sunrise in my opinion and with good reason to beleive will discourage a restaurant from opening in SUNSET location. And Yes there are as usual a mish-mish of politics, usually is. Never said ANYTHING about drugs or illegal activity. I truly hope I'm wrong about another restaraunt, like you I hope for the Best in future Warren. Bear pointed out the open cash register, I've witnessed that years ago. So, cheat on taxes, hire a x-cop thief and wipe his lil butt too. Yes, I choose not to spend money there. I often agree with your opinion, and respect your view.

Nah, didn't really touch a nerve. Just don't understand why a story about a bar run by a felon, who has run other bars with problems, starts a dialogue about the legitimate business across the street.

Funny thing is, the business owners and politicians and local leaders who heard about the Sunset before it opened, KNEW there would problems like dead people and shootings.

Funny how that goes. These people somehow knew there would be a problem like this. Guess all they had to know was who was involved.

I'm sure the owner of the Sunrise would welcome a nice restaurant next to his establishment. Unlike some other restauranteurs and bar owners in Warren, the guys at the Sunrise are smart enough to know that having a bunch of places to eat and drink on a block or two could only help their business overall.

I misspell stuff too. I'm also a nobody like you, feather...Though I wonder if you are a somebody who might be out of a job come May... Hmm.....?

I haven't eaten at the Sunrise for quite a while now. The food has gone way down hill in my opinion.

Personally, I am sick and tired of this article regarding the sunset... I believe that the sunrise is in cahoots with the tribune and causing all this drama.. Seriously move on.....

I won't comment on a couple lowlife lawyers NMC. Nativio may be insulted by that too. Know what your saying. Feel bad Nativio got touchy, kinda like the guys view on a lot of things. Just saying what I know. Used to go to sunrise once a week for years, not no more!!

Not big on stats either Nativio, esp rush judgements cuz something hurt your ears. Your active with city leaders and politicians, I'm surprised you've never or maybe don't want to hear anything negative about The Sunrise. Your choice. Mine is simply not to eat at the Sunrise. No, I'm not affiliated with The Sunset in any way.

But I can't spell so don't take me serious. If it was Blues making the statement, you'd either not comment or put on the kid gloves. I've respected your comments and will continue to do so. But this isn't sour grapes.

Bear, I to noticed that long ago. And Nativio, think what you want. Like I said I'm a nobody, If you don't think there's any I'll scratch your back if you look the other way in Warren, I would Love to see a legitimate buisness open in that building, as I'm sure you would. Doubt it will be a restaraunt.

Sunrise hires a dirty cop, gee Nativio did I touch a nerve? Just said what I happen to know, yes sunrise does have close ties with a couple politicians, Who am I? A nobody. Yes there is a sign in the window of The Former Sunset. Guaranteed, no restaurant will ever open that close to the Sunrise. Maybe your related to someone I offended, sorry. Maybe your just knieve. Sorry about my spelling if it inconvenienced you.

nativio, I don't know anything about where feather gets his info, but mine was personal observation.

Another nightclub owner boasted to me how he almost didn't get a loan for his house because his reported income was so low, but that's because it was a cash business, so he grossly under-reported admission ticket sales on his Schedule C. A few years later, he turns around and files bankruptcy, based on those same income figures. He is now operating his entertainment business out of a restaurant in Austintown, walking away from his financial obligations scot-free, all due to his cheating the IRS--cheating you and me. People like that make me sick.

Golly feather, your spelling is as good as the spelling I've seen on that sign on the Sunset. "Comming Soon!" "Fore Sale!"

Who are you, feather? Someone tied in with the Sunset "owners"? Are you a bondsman? You sure seem to have a problem with the Sunrise! You sure seem to want people to think something shady is going on with one of the oldest, legitimate businesses in Warren! They actually provide a service there, rather than being a front for drugs or being a parasite on criminals and dumb people like most bondsmen are.

Statistics show that 99% of allegations made by anonymous posters on the Trib is usually just sour grapes BS.

My issue with Sunrise is sitting there watching them work out of an open cash register. Good way to under-report actual sales figures, cheating on your taxes. And who makes up the difference? You and I.

Ok, for certain I recognize the sensitivity and you can never be sure who might be reading. I do know cronyism exists in a huge way in this town. I could write a list of the police, City officials, especially their wives and even lawyers in Warren who are regular drug users. I'm talking pills and occasionally cocaine.

Which is why some dealers will never get busted or investigated. Police focus will always be on the street level dealer or the dope house in the hood. Let's leave it there...

I can guarantee some of my comment will be deleted NMC. Can't say where I got info. It would possibly put that person on the spot.

Tell u this much NMC, ARTICLE while back on a certain city cop got scrapped because of a complaint from buisness who has advertisement in Trib. Get where I'm going? Same buisness hired that cop, temporary when the Sunset was open. Several city cops.have relationship with that buisness, which is Ok under certain circumstances.

That sounds like an interesting piece of information Featherstone, is there a short or any version of that you're willing to elaborate upon? I heard something similar about the Taxi companies in the here in Warren. One sabotaging business for the other, disabling vehicles etc...

The location would be ideal for a tavern or food carry out or combo, The old Central was a good example. To bad politics will not let that happen again.

...turning it into a fine dining restaurant?? Really? Hope the city of Warren and the State Liquor Board doesn't buy into that story. As far as the lease goes, just because the doors are currently closed doesn't mean the lease on the building is automatically terminated.
